Ashwini Vaishnaw Warns Against Fake Railway Videos, Inspects Anand Vihar Station

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw conducted a surprise inspection at Delhi’s Anand Vihar railway station on Sunday to review passenger safety and crowd management measures during the festive season.

During the visit, Vaishnaw interacted directly with passengers, gathering feedback on station cleanliness and facilities. He emphasized that passenger convenience and safety remain the top priorities of the Indian Railways.

The minister also issued a strong warning against the circulation of fake videos targeting railways on social media. “Strict action has been initiated against those who share misleading videos. Such content creates confusion and panic among passengers,” Vaishnaw said, urging the public to avoid spreading false information.

The inspection was attended by senior railway officials, including Satish Kumar, Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, and Ashok Kumar Verma, General Manager of Northern Railway. The minister had previously visited the newly constructed holding area at New Delhi station, addressing passenger concerns related to safety and amenities.

The railways have implemented comprehensive arrangements to manage the festive rush, ensuring minimal inconvenience for passengers while maintaining high standards of safety and convenience.
