AUS vs IND 3rd ODI: Nitish Kumar Reddy Ruled Out, India Worries Ahead of T20I Series
All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was ruled out of the third and final ODI against Australia in Sydney on October 25, 2025, after suffering a left quadriceps injury during the second ODI in Adelaide. The BCCI Medical Team confirmed he was monitored daily and unavailable for selection in the series decider.
Replacement in ODI Squad
India adjusted its lineup, replacing Nitish with Kuldeep Yadav. In addition, Arshdeep Singh was swapped out for Prasidh Krishna to maintain balance in the squad.
Injury History and Career Impact
The 22-year-old all-rounder has faced multiple injury setbacks in his early international career. Earlier in 2025, he was flown back home mid-tour during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy due to a serious knee injury before the fourth Test at Lord’s.
Nitish recovered to feature in the home Test series against West Indies and later joined India’s white-ball tour of Australia, filling in for Hardik Pandya, who was also injured.
