India Sweet House has released “Sambhramada Ruchi Onde”, a multilingual song celebrating the role of sweets in bringing people together across India's diverse cultural traditions. Featuring prominent Kannada cinema personalities and musicians, the song highlights how food connects communities during festivals, weddings and other celebrations.
The project brings together artistes from different backgrounds to showcase the shared joy of exchanging sweets, despite differences in language, religion and regional customs.
Kannada Artistes Come Together for the Song
The song has been directed by Kannada artiste Sihi Kahi Chandru, with music composed by Praveen D Rao and lyrics written by Kaviraj.
Vocals have been provided by Nakul Abhyankar, Ankita Kundu, Varijashree, Fayaz Khan and Deepti Bhat, bringing together multiple voices for the multilingual composition.
The music video also features Kannada cinema veterans Srinath, Mukhya Mantri Chandru, Ravi Shankar and Sudharani. Philanthropist and environmentalist Vidushi Revathi Kamath and other artistes also appear in the project.
Sweets as a Shared Indian Tradition
At the heart of “Sambhramada Ruchi Onde” is the idea that sweets are more than just food. Across India, they are an integral part of festivals, weddings, family gatherings and community celebrations.
The song uses multiple languages to reflect this cultural diversity while emphasising the common tradition of sharing sweets on special occasions.
By bringing together artistes from Kannada cinema and music, the project seeks to present food as a cultural connection that transcends regional and linguistic boundaries.
The song is available on India Sweet House’s official YouTube channel.
