MasterChef India Returns: Season 9 Premiere Date, Theme, Judges and Where to Watch
MasterChef India is gearing up for a grand television return, with Season 9 set to premiere on January 6, 2026. The much-loved cooking competition will once again feature celebrated chefs Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and Kunal Kapur as judges. This season carries the theme “Pride of India”, celebrating the country’s diverse culinary heritage and showcasing how Indian flavours continue to evolve.
The teaser emphasises the idea of presenting India’s taste to the world and encourages viewers to celebrate regional cuisines. Episodes will air Monday to Friday at 9 PM on Sony Entertainment Television, with online streaming available simultaneously on Sony LIV.
Contestants from across the country will compete by reinventing traditional dishes and introducing innovative flavours rooted in Indian culture. The show, adapted from the global MasterChef format, continues to serve as a platform for home cooks to demonstrate creativity and culinary expertise.
MasterChef India has featured several notable names over the years, including Sanjeev Kapoor, Garima Arora, Vineet Bhatia and Zorawar Kalra. The most recent spin-off, Celebrity MasterChef, was won by actor Gaurav Khanna.
With its new theme and celebrated judging panel, Season 9 aims to bring India’s rich gastronomic identity into the spotlight once again.
