Odisha Class 12 Exams 2026 Datesheet Released: CHSE Announces Schedule from February 18 to March 21

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has released the official Odisha Class 12 datesheet for the 2026 Annual Higher Secondary Examination. As per the notification on chseodisha.nic.in, the theory exams will be conducted from February 18 to March 21, 2026, with papers scheduled from 10 am to 1 pm.

Vocational subjects will be held from 10 am to 12 pm, with some papers allotted separate timings. Students can download their admit cards from December 15, 2025, via the official website.

Internal Assessment and Practical Exam Schedule

Internal assessments for regular students are set between December 22 and December 31, 2025, with exam durations ranging from 30 to 45 minutes.

Practical examinations for both regular and ex-regular candidates will be held from January 2 to January 15, 2026. Candidates who miss internal or practical assessments for valid reasons will be allowed to appear between January 10 and January 15.

CHSE Chairman Mrunal Kanti Das confirmed that all admit cards will be available online from December 15. He also noted that this year’s practical exams will follow a tighter schedule to ensure smooth conduct across districts.

4 Lakh Students Registered; 1,350 Exam Centres Announced

A total of 4,00,736 students have registered for the 2026 exams, including:

  • 2,56,042 in Arts

  • 1,14,238 in Science

  • 24,533 in Commerce

  • 5,923 in Vocational streams

The exams will be held across 1,350 centres, with enhanced monitoring and security protocols in place to maintain exam integrity.

Enhanced Surveillance and Anti-Malpractice Measures

CHSE has announced major upgrades in exam security this year. All centres will operate under CCTV surveillance, while 210 AI-enabled exam hubs will be used for secure question paper storage.

Practical exam centres will feature webcast and live-streaming facilities. Two flying squad units — each with six members and two vehicles — will be deployed in every district to conduct surprise inspections and curb malpractice.

Candidates are advised to reach their centres 30 minutes before the scheduled time and enter exam halls at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of papers. Commerce stream students will undergo project evaluation and viva voce in groups of 24, conducted by school teachers.
