Gulshan Devaiah Says He Was Unaware of Samantha–Raj Wedding While Shooting Film

Actor Gulshan Devaiah has revealed that he was completely unaware of Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s wedding to filmmaker Raj Nidimoru while shooting for his Telugu debut film Maa Inti Bangaram.

In a recent interview, Gulshan shared that he only learned about the wedding days after it had taken place, admitting that the news caught him off guard.

‘I HAD NO IDEA THEY GOT MARRIED’

Speaking to Zoom, Gulshan recalled that he was filming scenes with Samantha under director Nandini Reddy when the wedding happened.

“In the middle of shooting Maa Inti Bangaram, they got married. I had absolutely no idea about it. I went, finished my shoot with her and came back. Three days later, I saw their wedding pictures and I was completely taken aback,” the actor said.

Gulshan’s remarks highlight how closely guarded the wedding was, with even co-actors remaining unaware of the major personal milestone.

PRIOR COLLABORATION WITH RAJ NIDIMORU

Interestingly, Gulshan Devaiah has previously worked with Raj Nidimoru. He collaborated with the filmmaker on the Amazon Prime Video series Guns & Gulaabs, where he played the memorable character Chaar Cut Aatmaram. The show also starred Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav.

SAMANTHA–RAJ RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Raj Nidimoru first collaborated on The Family Man Season 2 in 2021, followed by Citadel: Honey Bunny in 2024. Speculation around their relationship began in 2023 but intensified in 2024 as the two were frequently spotted together.

The couple officially confirmed their relationship on December 1, 2025, and later tied the knot in an intimate yogic ceremony at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. Samantha shared photos from the wedding on Instagram, making the news public.

GULSHAN DEVAIAH’S UPCOMING PROJECTS

On the professional front, Gulshan Devaiah was last seen in Hindi films Ulajh and Jhansi Ka Rajkumar in 2024, along with the JioHotstar series Bad Cop. He also made his Kannada debut this year with Kantara: Chapter 1, directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, where Gulshan portrayed Prince Kulashekara.

The actor is now preparing for his Tamil debut with Legacy, which stars R Madhavan.
