Home Ministry Opens Winter Internship 2025 in Cyber Crime: Apply by October 17

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced the Winter Internship Programme 2025 through its Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), offering students a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, and cybercrime investigation.

Applications are open until October 17, 2025, and interested candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline.


About the Internship

The I4C internship is designed to equip students with real-world exposure to cybercrime investigation while contributing to public safety and national security. Selected candidates will work alongside experts in cyber law, data analytics, and digital forensics, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-evolving digital landscape.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate from I4C. However, the internship is unpaid, and accommodation will not be provided by I4C or by state/UT police departments.


Eligibility Criteria

The programme is open to undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students from a wide range of disciplines, including:

  • Technology & Engineering: Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical, Cybersecurity, AI, ML, Data Analytics

  • Law & Social Sciences: LLB, LLM, Criminology, Sociology

  • Specialized Fields: Blockchain, Dark Web studies, Ethical Hacking, Malware Analysis, Reverse Engineering, API Development, Automation

  • Media & Communication: Journalism, Mass Communication, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Video Editing, Content Writing

  • Business & Management: BBA or MBA in Data Analytics, Event Management, or PR Studies

This inclusive approach ensures participation from students with diverse skill sets relevant to cyber and digital domains.

  3. Download the Internship SOP, application form, and undertaking

  4. Submit all documents through the Google Form link provided in the notice

All applications will be thoroughly reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will be notified within 4–5 weeks after the deadline.
