Pawan Kalyan’s ‘They Call Him OG’ Gets ₹1,000 Ticket Pricing for Special Show in Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh government has officially approved special benefit shows for Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film They Call Him OG, with ticket prices capped at ₹1,000 for the 1 am premiere show on September 25. This marks one of the highest ticket rates sanctioned for a Telugu film in the state.

According to the government order, cinema halls are permitted to host a maximum of five shows per day, with the benefit show priced at ₹1,000. For the first ten days after release, from September 25 to October 4, revised ticket rates have also been authorized. Single-screen tickets will cost ₹125, while multiplex tickets will be priced at ₹150 — applicable only for They Call Him OG.

DVV Entertainment, the production banner behind the film, expressed gratitude to the N. Chandrababu Naidu-led government. In a social media post, the team thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh for approving the price hike ahead of the release.

The announcement has triggered mixed reactions among fans and the general public. While excitement is high for Pawan Kalyan’s return to the big screen, several social media users voiced concerns about affordability, particularly for families. Some questioned whether ticket prices of ₹1,000 are justified, while others responded with humor or disappointment.

Directed by Sujeeth, They Call Him OG features Pawan Kalyan in the lead, alongside Emraan Hashmi in his Telugu debut and Priyanka Mohan as the female lead. The film is produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainment, with music composed by Thaman S.
