Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli Reunite in Nets Ahead of India vs West Indies ODI Series

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli reunited in India colours during the team’s first training session ahead of the three-match ODI series against West Indies. The two senior batters were seen together at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on September 24, as India began preparations for the opening match.

Rohit and Kohli last played together for India during the ODI tour of England in July, with their most recent ODI appearance coming at Lord’s on July 14. The upcoming West Indies series marks their return to international action after more than two months.

During the practice session, Kohli looked aggressive in the nets and played several attacking strokes. Rohit also worked on his batting after rain briefly interrupted the session and reportedly asked Prasidh Krishna to bowl short deliveries as he prepared for the upcoming challenge.

Both players have joined captain Shubman Gill and the rest of the ODI squad in Thiruvananthapuram. The series opener will be played on September 27 at the Greenfield International Stadium.

The second ODI is scheduled for September 30 in Guwahati, while the third match will take place on October 3 in New Chandigarh. The series is part of India’s preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup, with Rohit and Kohli bringing significant experience to the squad.
