AIIMS CRE 2026 Re-Exam on September 7 for Jaipur Candidates

The AIIMS Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) 2026 will be conducted again on September 7 for candidates whose examination was disrupted at two centres in Jaipur due to an internal power supply problem.

The affected centres, RJ0101 and RJ0102, are located at the TCS-operated iON Digital Zone in Sitapura, Jaipur. The examination authority has announced that candidates registered at these centres will receive a fresh opportunity to appear for the test. Arrangements are being made for suitable examination centres in Jaipur.

The decision followed an interruption during the first shift of the examination on August 31. The shift was scheduled to begin at 9 am, but the disruption resulted in the cancellation of the examination at both centres.

The cancellation was announced to protect the interests of candidates and ensure that the recruitment examination maintains fairness, transparency and integrity.

The CRE 2026 is being held to recruit candidates for Group B and Group C positions across various AIIMS institutions and other central government and autonomous healthcare organisations.

The examination was scheduled across August 31 and September 1 in three shifts. The arrangement was designed to allow candidates who had applied for multiple posts to appear for all examinations for which they were eligible.

According to the examination details, 30,142 candidates registered for posts included in the current CRE. During the first shift on August 31, 21,098 candidates were registered, while 16,193 candidates appeared for the examination.

At the two affected Jaipur centres, 2,000 candidates were registered. Before the examination was interrupted, 1,342 candidates had appeared at centre RJ0101 and 436 candidates had appeared at RJ0102.

The examination authority has also ordered a detailed investigation into the disruption. TCS has been asked to provide a report explaining the incident and preserve relevant records.

The records to be retained include system logs, CCTV footage and control-room communications. These materials will help in reviewing the circumstances surrounding the technical disruption and determining what happened at the affected centres.

The CRE includes recruitment for several positions, including Junior Administrative Assistant, Senior Administrative Assistant, Data Entry Operator, Personal Assistant, Stenographer, Private Secretary, Receptionist and Junior Medical Records Officer, among other posts.

The September 7 re-examination will be limited to candidates affected at the two Jaipur centres. The fresh test is intended to ensure that candidates impacted by the disruption receive an equal opportunity to participate in the recruitment process.

The examination authority has reiterated its commitment to conducting the recruitment process in a fair, transparent and equitable manner. Candidates affected by the Jaipur centre disruption will therefore be able to appear for the CRE 2026 on September 7.
