The Uttar Pradesh government has opened district-wise recruitment for Anganwadi Worker and Helper posts, with the recruitment drive covering more than 60,000 positions across the state. Applications began in November 2025, while deadlines vary by district. Several districts have fresh vacancies with application deadlines falling in September and October 2026.
The reported age limit is 18 to 35 years as of July 1, 2025, with applicable age relaxation under the recruitment rules. There is no application fee for candidates. Applicants are generally required to have passed Class 12 from a recognised board, while the recruitment is open to female candidates who meet the prescribed local residency requirements for the village, ward or Nyaya Panchayat concerned.
The selection process is based on a merit list rather than a written examination. Candidates must apply separately according to the district-wise vacancy notifications and check the applicable deadline, eligibility requirements and documents before submitting their forms.
Applicants should rely on the notification issued for their respective district because vacancies, deadlines and other conditions differ across districts. The recruitment covers both Worker and Helper positions, with vacancies continuing to be notified on a district-wise basis.
