UP PGT Teacher Recruitment 2026: Apply for 2,607 Posts

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced recruitment for 2,607 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions under Advertisement No. 06/2026. The online application process started on September 18, 2026, and candidates can apply until October 17. The last date for fee payment is also October 17, while corrections can be made until October 21. The written examination is scheduled for December 15 and 16.

Candidates applying for the PGT posts must have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject. Additional subject-specific eligibility requirements may apply, and applicants are advised to check the official notification before submitting their forms.

The prescribed age limit is 21 to 62 years as of July 1, 2026, with applicable age-related provisions under UPESSC rules. The application fee is ₹1,500 for General, EWS and OBC candidates, ₹750 for SC and ST candidates, and ₹500 for eligible persons with disabilities.

The selection process includes a written examination, interview or viva-voce and document verification. Candidates should complete their applications before the deadline and carefully verify the eligibility criteria, subject requirements and examination details in the official notification.
