Bishnoi Gang Linked to Firing at Sonipat Supplements Store, CCTV Footage Surfaces

A brazen daylight firing at a supplements store in Haryana’s Sonipat has sparked concern among local traders after three armed men, allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, opened fire at the establishment. The attack was captured on CCTV cameras installed inside the shop, providing investigators with crucial leads.

The incident took place at Pahal Nutrition in Sonipat. According to police sources, the attackers arrived on a motorcycle and entered the store before opening fire. CCTV footage shows one of the accused handing a slip of paper to the store manager seated at the counter. Moments later, he allegedly pulled out a firearm and attempted to shoot. The weapon reportedly malfunctioned, giving the manager a chance to duck behind the counter for cover. The assailant then fled the premises.

In another clip, one of the attackers is seen firing at the shop’s glass facade, causing visible damage. His accomplice is also seen brandishing a weapon before escaping. No injuries were reported in the incident, but the attack created panic in the busy marketplace area.

Police Suspect Gang Rivalry

Investigators believe the firing may be linked to an ongoing rivalry between the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and associates of gangster Rohit Godara. Police sources said that two months ago, the shop owner had allegedly received an extortion demand of Rs 2 crore in Godara’s name.

Soon after the attack, a social media post surfaced claiming responsibility for the incident. The post, allegedly made on behalf of the Bishnoi gang, accused the store owners of paying extortion money to a rival group. However, police have stated that they are verifying the authenticity of the viral message.

Authorities have identified two of the suspected shooters as Kapil and Ashish Malik, both residents of Sonipat. Senior officials confirmed that efforts are underway to trace and arrest the accused. The alleged mastermind, believed to be operating from abroad, is also under investigation.

Investigation Underway

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Narendra Kadian said that multiple teams have been formed to track down the suspects. CCTV footage from surrounding areas is being examined, and forensic teams have collected evidence from the crime scene.

The incident has heightened anxiety among local business owners, who are concerned about rising extortion threats and organised crime activity in the region. Police have assured traders that strict action will be taken and security measures strengthened.

As the investigation continues, authorities have urged citizens not to circulate unverified information and to cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
