At just 25, Harshita Arora has achieved a milestone few can match—becoming the youngest general partner at Y Combinator, one of the most influential startup accelerators in the world.
Hailing from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, her journey reflects a non-traditional path shaped by early passion, persistence, and real-world execution.
Harshita Arora began coding at the age of 13, showing early interest in technology. By 15, she made the bold decision to leave formal schooling and focus entirely on building skills and projects.
Her early breakthrough came at 16, when she developed a cryptocurrency portfolio-tracking app that gained recognition and was eventually acquired. This achievement brought her national recognition, including the prestigious Bal Shakti Puraskar in 2020.
Like many entrepreneurs, Arora’s journey included setbacks. Her initial startup idea did not succeed, particularly during the disruptions caused by the pandemic.
However, instead of giving up, she and her co-founders—Vignan Velivela and Tushar Misra—pivoted their approach. They conducted extensive field research across truck stops in California, identifying challenges faced by drivers and fleet operators.
This led to the creation of AtoB, a fintech platform offering solutions such as fleet cards and financial tools for the trucking industry. The company has grown rapidly, now serving over 30,000 fleets across the United States with an estimated valuation of around $700 million.
Arora’s association with Y Combinator began when she joined as a visiting partner in 2025, becoming the youngest in that role. Her performance and experience led to her elevation as a general partner.
In her new role, she will work closely with founders, guiding them on product development, growth strategies, and funding decisions.
Her journey reflects a broader shift in Silicon Valley, where practical experience, innovation, and execution are increasingly valued over traditional academic credentials.
Y Combinator highlighted her deep expertise in fintech and infrastructure, along with her unique perspective as a young founder who has built companies from the ground up.
Harshita Arora’s rise stands out not just because of her age, but because of the unconventional path she took. From dropping out of school to building a successful startup and joining one of the world’s top venture platforms, her journey underscores the power of resilience and adaptability.
Her story serves as an example for aspiring entrepreneurs, showing that success can come from taking risks, learning from failures, and staying committed to solving real-world problems.
