Madrasa on Government Land Vacated After Madina Mosque Demolition, Encroachment Cleared

A madrasa constructed on government land was vacated on Saturday following administrative action taken after the demolition of the Madina mosque, according to a special ground report. The move is part of an ongoing drive by local authorities to remove encroachments from public land and enforce land ownership regulations.

The madrasa was reportedly spread across 1,339 square metres of government-owned land. Officials confirmed that the structure fell under unauthorised occupation, prompting action by the district administration. Following the mosque demolition earlier, notices were served, and compliance procedures were initiated to ensure the land was vacated peacefully.

Visuals from the site showed villagers and caretakers removing personal belongings, furniture, books, bedding, and other essential items from the madrasa premises. Administrative officials and law enforcement personnel were present to oversee the process and ensure that the evacuation proceeded without any disturbance.

Authorities stated that the operation was carried out in accordance with legal procedures and under strict supervision to prevent any law-and-order situation. Bulldozers were deployed in the area as part of the encroachment-clearing operation, with officials confirming that demolition and land reclamation work was underway.

Local administration officials reiterated that the action was not targeted at any particular community but was part of a broader effort to reclaim government land from illegal occupation. “Government property cannot be encroached upon under any circumstances. The law applies equally to all,” an official said.

The vacating of the madrasa comes amid heightened scrutiny of land records and public properties across several regions, where authorities have launched drives to identify and remove unauthorised structures. Officials maintained that such actions are necessary to ensure transparency, lawful land use, and the protection of public assets.

Residents in the area were seen cooperating with officials during the operation. No reports of resistance or violence were recorded, and the administration stated that adequate time had been provided for occupants to remove their belongings.

Security arrangements were put in place to avoid any escalation, with police personnel stationed in and around the area. Authorities said the situation remained peaceful throughout the process.

The district administration confirmed that once the land is fully cleared, it will be secured to prevent future encroachments. Further steps will be taken to record the reclaimed land in official records and determine its future use in accordance with government policy.

Officials also noted that similar drives may continue in the coming days as part of a systematic review of government land across the district. Citizens were urged to verify land ownership documents and comply with regulations to avoid legal action.

The incident has once again brought attention to the issue of unauthorised occupation of public land and the challenges faced by administrations in enforcing land laws while maintaining social harmony.
