Aryan Maan Outlines Priorities as New DUSU President: Free Wi-Fi, Metro Passes, and Student Safety Top Agenda

Aryan Maan, the newly elected president of the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU), has revealed his key priorities for students, emphasizing round-the-clock work, free Wi-Fi across campuses, and metro passes for all. Representing the ABVP, Maan led his team to a decisive victory, defeating NSUI’s Joslyn Nandita Choudhary by over 16,000 votes.

Speaking about the win, Maan said, “Despite allegations by opponents, we stayed focused. Our commitment—through protests and hunger strikes—has brought this success.”

The panel’s agenda includes improving sports facilities, ensuring student safety, and deploying PCR vans near girls’ hostels. Black spots around campuses will also be addressed. ABVP leaders described the results as a clear endorsement of their approach, highlighting a generational shift in student politics.

Acknowledging the loss of the Vice President seat, Maan stressed collaboration. “We will work together to deliver results for every student,” he said. He also criticized rivals for raising complaints over the election outcome, asserting the win margin of over 15,000 votes speaks for itself.

With ABVP now in charge, students will closely watch the implementation of metro passes, campus Wi-Fi, and enhanced security in the coming months, marking a new chapter in Delhi University politics.
