CBSE AIIMS Virtual Mental Health Series 2025: Tackling Student Stress and Anxiety

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in collaboration with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has announced a Virtual Mental Health Series to mark World Mental Health Week from October 4 to 10, 2025.

This initiative is aimed at principals, teachers, counsellors, parents, and students of CBSE-affiliated schools, with the goal of promoting emotional wellbeing, reducing stigma around mental health, and equipping school communities with practical tools for resilience.

???? Objectives of the Series

The programme seeks to:

  • Provide educators, counsellors, and parents with effective strategies to support students’ emotional health.

  • Encourage positive practices within schools to create safe, supportive learning environments.

  • Foster psychological resilience and awareness through evidence-based methods.

???? Daily Expert Sessions

The week-long series will feature live sessions every day between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm, led by experts from AIIMS’ Department of Psychiatry and Counselling Services.

Schedule of Sessions:

  • October 4: Dr. M Srinivas, Director, AIIMS – Health, Nutrition and Emotional Health

  • October 5: Himanshu Gupta, Secretary, CBSE – How to Tackle Stress

  • October 6: Dr. Pratap Sharan, AIIMS – Positive Mental Health

  • October 7: Dr. Nand Kumar, AIIMS – Happy Gut, Healthy Brain

  • October 8: Dr. Rajesh Sagar, AIIMS – High-Risk Behaviour in Adolescents

  • October 10: Dr. Deepika Dahima, AIIMS – Resilience in the Digital Age

The sessions will be hosted live on Webex through a dedicated link. Each session will accommodate up to 1,000 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

The initiative is free of cost and open to all CBSE-affiliated schools, students, and parents.
