Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Box Office Day 6: Harshvardhan Rane–Sonam Bajwa Film Crosses ₹40 Crore Milestone

The romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, continues to shine at the box office, emerging as a major surprise hit of Diwali 2025. Released alongside the high-profile film Thamma, the movie has not only held its ground but outperformed initial trade expectations with impressive weekday numbers.

The film has crossed the ₹40 crore nett mark within just six days of its release. The strong response from audiences has allowed the project to recover its production budget within the first four days — a significant achievement considering the intense competition during the festive weekend.

Trade box office tracking reported a promising opening with ₹9 crore nett on day one, followed by ₹7.75 crore on Saturday and ₹6 crore on Sunday. As the weekdays approached, the film remained stable, minting ₹5.5 crore on Friday, ₹6.25 crore on Saturday, and ₹6.44 crore on Sunday, pushing the first weekend total to ₹18.19 crore. The domestic cumulative has now reached ₹40.94 crore nett, signaling solid momentum going into the second week.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has also overtaken the lifetime earnings of the recently released horror drama Maa, which closed around ₹36 crore. Although Thamma continues to lead the Diwali box office race, Harshvardhan Rane’s film has carved its own path, demonstrating the continued appeal of commercial romance-driven cinema.

Directed by Milap Zaveri and co-written by Zaveri and Mushtaq Shiekh, the film is produced by Desi Movies Factory. Apart from the lead pair, the cast includes Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, Rajesh Khera, and Ananth Narayan — adding depth to the storytelling through strong support performances.

While critical reviews were mixed, the chemistry between the lead actors and the emotional core of the narrative appear to be resonating strongly with viewers. Positive word of mouth from mass audiences has become the driving force behind its sustained performance.

This trend points toward an encouraging shift where films with moderate budgets and relatable storylines continue to find dedicated viewership. The youth-driven buzz, combined with repeat audience turnout, could push the film toward a bigger milestone by the end of its first week.

As the movie heads into upcoming weekdays, the industry will be watching how well it sustains its impressive pace over the long run. If the current trajectory continues, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat may soon join the league of notable box office winners of 2025.
