Google is set to establish its largest artificial intelligence (AI) hub outside the United States in Andhra Pradesh, with a $15 billion investment spanning 2026 to 2030. This landmark initiative aims to develop next-generation data centres, renewable energy systems, and ultra-fast fibre networks, creating a robust ecosystem for AI innovation, research, and education.
The hub will serve as a central ecosystem for developing, training, and managing advanced AI models, supporting innovation across industries including cloud computing, automation, healthcare, and education.
Google plans to integrate solar and wind energy, along with efficient cooling technologies, to reduce the environmental impact of AI data centres. This addresses global energy challenges and aligns with sustainable technology practices.
The AI hub’s state-of-the-art data centres will host servers powering AI applications, store massive datasets, and support services like Google Search, YouTube, and Workspace. This infrastructure brings global-scale technology capabilities to India, providing students and researchers a unique platform for hands-on learning.
The hub will deploy fibre networks with speeds exceeding 100 Gbps, ensuring real-time AI training, seamless data transfer, and efficient management of petabytes of AI data.
