Indian Fan Zones Sold Out 50 Days Before Australia Series, Confirms Cricket Australia

Cricket Australia announced on Saturday that all dedicated Indian fan zones for the upcoming white-ball series between Australia and India have sold out nearly 50 days before the first match, underscoring the extraordinary demand for seats when two of cricket’s biggest teams clash.

According to the board, public tickets for matches in Sydney and Canberra are also fully booked, while seats for remaining fixtures are selling fast.

“We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to the Indian fan zones selling out across all eight venues,” said Joel Morrison, Cricket Australia’s Executive General Manager of Events and Operations. “The momentum around this series shows the passion fans have for the game. We look forward to a vibrant atmosphere and a world-class contest between two great cricketing nations.”

Series Schedule and Highlights

The high-profile series begins with three ODIs, starting on October 19 in Perth, followed by fixtures in Adelaide (October 23) and Sydney (October 25). The ODI series will see the return of Indian stalwarts Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma, who are expected to feature in the 50-over format after stepping away from Tests and T20Is.

The ODIs will be followed by a five-match T20I series, starting on October 29 in Canberra and concluding on November 8 in Brisbane.

This season is historic as men’s internationals will be staged across all eight Australian states and territories, with Hobart and Canberra both hosting India during the T20 leg.

The last time India toured Australia for a bilateral ODI series was in 2020-21, when the hosts won 2-1, before India bounced back to claim the T20 series by the same margin.
