JKSSB JE 2025 Exam Postponed: New Date to Be Announced at jkssb.nic.in

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced the postponement of the Junior Engineer (Civil) recruitment examination, which was scheduled for September 7, 2025. The decision was taken due to prevailing weather conditions in the region.

Candidates can access the official notice on the JKSSB website at jkssb.nic.in.

Reason for Postponement

The examination was initially slated for August 31, 2025, but was rescheduled to September 7 before being postponed again for the same reason — adverse weather conditions. The Board has confirmed that a fresh date will be notified in due course. Aspirants are advised to check the official website regularly for updates.

The official notice states:
"It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned candidates that the OMR-based examination for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil), advertised vide Notification No. 03 of 2025 dated 24.04.2025, which was earlier scheduled to be held on 31.08.2025 and was rescheduled on 07.09.2025, is hereby postponed due to prevailing weather conditions. The fresh date of the said examination shall be notified separately in due course of time."

Exam Pattern

The recruitment examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions in English only. Negative marking will apply, with one-fourth of the allotted marks deducted for each incorrect answer.
