The highly anticipated romantic musical starring Kartik Aaryan and directed by Anurag Basu has reportedly been titled ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’, drawing inspiration from the iconic 1990 song from Aashiqui. Initially planned as the third instalment of the Aashiqui franchise, the project evolved into a standalone film after producers Mukesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar parted ways.
Slated for a May 1, 2026, release, the film aims to capture the magic of summer romances, featuring Kartik Aaryan alongside Sreeleela. Filming is currently ongoing in Mumbai and will continue through 2025, with patchwork and editing planned for early 2026.

A source revealed, “The makers wanted a title that evoked nostalgia but avoided legal or creative complications with the Aashiqui franchise. ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’ felt like the perfect fit.”
By distancing the project from the original franchise, the team ensured creative freedom while still appealing to fans of classic Bollywood romance.
