NEET PG 2025 Results Cancelled for 22 Candidates Over Misconduct, Says NBEMS

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has cancelled the NEET Postgraduate (PG) results of 22 candidates for alleged misconduct and a court directive. The decision affects candidates from multiple years, including 2021 to 2025.

According to the NBEMS, 21 candidates were found guilty of using unfair means during the examination, while one candidate’s result was annulled following an order from the Karnataka High Court. The board also announced that the previous scorecards of these candidates have been declared invalid for any academic or professional use.

Why NEET PG Results Were Cancelled

As per the NBEMS Examinations Ethics Committee, the 21 candidates engaged in malpractice during the exam. Their results have been permanently revoked, and their candidature stands cancelled.

The decision aims to uphold the credibility of India’s national-level postgraduate medical entrance test. “All affected candidates’ scorecards from current and previous years will not be valid for admission, employment, or higher education,” the board clarified in its official notice.

One candidate’s result was withheld due to an ongoing legal proceeding in the Karnataka High Court.

NEET PG 2025 Counselling Update

Meanwhile, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) announced that the NEET PG 2025 counselling process is expected to begin in the third week of October.

After consultations with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), it was decided that the counselling process will tentatively commence by mid-October. This phase will determine seat allotments in various medical colleges and universities across India.

The NEET PG 2025 exam was held on August 3 in a single shift across 1,052 centres in 301 cities, with over 2.42 lakh candidates appearing for the test.

The NBEMS emphasized that such disciplinary actions are crucial to ensuring transparency, integrity, and fairness in national medical examinations.
