PM Modi Pens Foreword for Giorgia Meloni’s Memoir, Hails Italian PM as Outstanding Leader
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written the foreword for the Indian edition of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s memoir, I Am Giorgia — My Roots, My Principles, published by Rupa Publications. In his foreword, PM Modi praised Meloni as a “patriot and outstanding contemporary leader,” highlighting her remarkable journey in both personal and political spheres.
Drawing a parallel with his own initiative Mann Ki Baat, Modi described Meloni’s memoir as a candid reflection of her values, principles, and leadership philosophy. He expressed that it was a “great honour” to contribute to her autobiography, underscoring the mutual admiration and friendship between India and Meloni.
The memoir chronicles Meloni’s early life, the challenges she faced, and her rise to becoming Italy’s first female Prime Minister. Modi noted that her inspiring and historic story, filled with lessons on perseverance, dedication, and leadership, would resonate deeply with Indian readers.
