RG Kar Rape-Murder Convict’s Niece Found Hanging in Kolkata

Kolkata has been rocked by another tragic development connected to the infamous RG Kar hospital case. The 11-year-old niece of Sanjay Roy, the convict sentenced for raping and murdering a postgraduate trainee at RG Kar Medical College, was found hanging at her residence on Sunday. Police sources revealed that it appeared to be a case of “partial hanging,” as part of the girl’s legs were touching the ground. She was alone at home when the incident occurred, and her family discovered her after returning from the market. The body was immediately sent to SSKM Hospital for a postmortem examination. Preliminary findings confirmed that the death was antemortem and caused by hanging.
