Trump Dismisses Health Rumors, Declares “Never Felt Better” Amid Viral Speculation

US President Donald Trump has firmly dismissed online speculation about his health, declaring he has “never felt better” after a wave of rumors fueled hashtags such as #TrumpIsDead and #WhereIsTrump on social media.

The speculation intensified last week following a quiet stretch with no public appearances and a blank White House schedule on Friday. Over the weekend, Trump was seen golfing at his Virginia resort, a move that coincided with mounting chatter about his well-being.

On Sunday night, Trump addressed the rumors directly on Truth Social, posting: “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE. Also, DC IS A CRIME FREE ZONE!” The statement was widely interpreted as a response to speculation and an effort to reassure supporters.

The controversy began after political commentator Rogan O’Handley questioned the narrative, contrasting media reactions to Trump’s absence with past coverage of President Joe Biden’s low-profile days. O’Handley wrote, “When Biden went days without public appearances, the media stayed silent. But Trump skips a few days, and the internet explodes.”

Photos of Trump at the White House on Sunday, wearing a white polo, black trousers, and his signature red “Make America Great Again” hat, further quelled rumors. He appeared in good spirits alongside family members before heading to his Sterling, Virginia golf club.

Health speculation has periodically surfaced over recent months, partly triggered by images of a bruise on Trump’s hand and swelling in his ankles earlier this year. The White House has repeatedly dismissed these concerns as baseless.

Vice President JD Vance recently acknowledged in an interview that he is “prepared for any eventuality,” while emphasizing that Trump remains fit and energetic. At 79, Trump is the oldest serving US President, and Vance, 41, is among the youngest Vice Presidents in US history—an age gap often cited in political discourse.

Reagan Reese, White House correspondent for The Daily Caller, added clarity to the situation, writing on X: “People are freaking out that Trump’s sick or dead because he hasn’t been seen. I interviewed him for an hour yesterday.”

Despite the health chatter, Trump has remained active online, recently criticizing a US court ruling that labeled his tariffs “illegal.” In a Truth Social post, he wrote: “ALL TARIFFS ARE STILL IN EFFECT! Today a Highly Partisan Appeals Court incorrectly said that our Tariffs should be removed, but they know the United States of America will win in the end.”
