UGC NET December 2025: Exam from Dec 31, Apply Online by Nov 7 | NTA Schedule Out

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the notification for the UGC NET December 2025 examination. The test will be conducted between December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across multiple centres in India.

The UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) determines eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions in Indian universities and colleges. This upcoming session will follow the same format as previous editions, with two papers conducted in a single three-hour session.

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Total Marks: 300

  • Total Questions: 150 (Multiple Choice)

  • Duration: 3 hours (No break between papers)

  • General-EWS/OBC-NCL: ₹600

  • SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: ₹325

Payment can be made online only through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
