Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Promises Strict Action After UKSSSC Paper Leak

In a firm response to the recent UKSSSC exam paper leak, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has vowed strict action against all individuals involved. The assurance comes after the arrest of Khalid Malik, identified as the primary accused in circulating portions of the examination paper online.

“The future of our youth will not be compromised. Whoever is guilty will face action. We have a zero-tolerance policy on such issues. More than 100 people connected to cheating mafias are already behind bars. Investigations are being carried out at multiple levels, and every decision taken will prioritise the interests of students,” Dhami told reporters.

Details of the Arrest and Investigation

Khalid Malik was arrested on September 24 for allegedly leaking 12 questions from the UKSSSC exam held on September 21 between 11 am and 1 pm. Earlier, his sister had also been taken into custody.

Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh confirmed that authorities are examining multiple angles, including the possibility of a wider conspiracy.

“At this stage, interrogation is still ongoing. While initial evidence suggests Malik leaked 12 questions, we are exploring both individual and conspiracy angles. His sister has already been sent to judicial custody,” Singh stated.

Candidate Concerns and Ongoing Measures

The leak surfaced online soon after the examination when three pages of the question paper were circulated. While two arrests have been made, students continue to voice concerns over potential involvement of a broader network. Authorities have assured that all steps are being taken to ensure a fair investigation and protect the interests of exam aspirants.

The Uttarakhand government has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against exam malpractice, aiming to safeguard the credibility of competitive examinations in the state.
