Tantrik Arrested In Delhi Peeragarhi Car Deaths, Police Link Accused To Multiple Murders Across UP And Rajasthan

A self-styled tantrik has been arrested in connection with the mysterious deaths of three people found inside a parked car in Delhi’s Peeragarhi area, with investigators now linking the accused to several other suspected murders across multiple states. According to officials, the case has taken a serious turn after evidence suggested a pattern of similar crimes in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, potentially bringing the total number of victims connected to the accused to six.

The suspect, identified as Kamruddin alias “Baba,” is a resident of Firozabad and allegedly posed as a spiritual healer to gain the trust of victims. Police believe he used poisoned sweets and alcohol during fake tantric rituals to incapacitate individuals before stealing their valuables. Authorities said the accused followed a consistent modus operandi, which helped investigators link the Peeragarhi incident to earlier cases reported in different regions.

In the Delhi case, three victims — Randhir, Naresh Singh and Laxmi Devi — were found dead inside a car parked on a flyover. Investigators suspect they consumed ladoos laced with poison shortly before their deaths. A murder case has been registered, and forensic teams are examining evidence recovered from the vehicle to confirm the sequence of events.

Officials from Delhi Police revealed that similar incidents were reported earlier in Firozabad and Dholpur. In Firozabad, two deaths were allegedly linked to poisoned sweets provided by the accused, while another case in Dholpur followed a comparable pattern. Authorities believe the accused targeted individuals seeking spiritual or personal guidance, convincing them to participate in rituals that ultimately proved fatal.

Investigators said coordination between law enforcement agencies in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan is ongoing to uncover the full scope of the alleged crimes. Teams are reviewing digital records, financial transactions, and witness statements to determine whether more victims could be connected to the accused’s activities.

A complaint filed in Firozabad last year offered crucial insights into the suspect’s methods. According to the report, Kamruddin claimed expertise in tantra-mantra and exorcism, promising to solve personal problems through spiritual practices. One victim reportedly visited his residence for a ritual and was later found dead, with glasses, sweets, and ritual-related items discovered at the scene. Police believe poison was administered under the guise of spiritual healing.

Authorities have emphasised that the investigation is still underway and more details may emerge as evidence is analysed. The arrest has sparked concern among residents and prompted warnings against falling prey to individuals posing as spiritual healers offering quick solutions to personal troubles.

As the probe continues, officials are working to piece together timelines across multiple states to establish whether the accused operated alone or had accomplices. The case highlights the dangers of fraudulent spiritual practices and the challenges law enforcement faces in tracking crimes that span different jurisdictions.
