Harshaali Malhotra Recalls 103-Degree Fever During Akhanda 2 River Shoot

Actor Harshaali Malhotra has opened up about the physically demanding conditions she endured while shooting for Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, revealing that she continued filming despite suffering from a high fever during the monsoon schedule.

The actor shared that several emotionally intense scenes were shot over five to six days inside the Godavari river amid heavy rainfall. With water rising up to her thighs and persistent rain complicating the shoot, the conditions became even more challenging as she battled illness.

In a behind-the-scenes video shared on social media, Harshaali recalled experiencing a viral infection with a fever reaching 103 degrees, along with cold and cough. Despite the physical exhaustion and sleepless nights, she said the support and care she received on set helped her push through the demanding schedule.

She noted that the emotionally heavy sequences required long hours in the river during peak monsoon, leaving her drained both physically and mentally. However, constant reassurance from the cast and crew made the experience bearable and memorable.

Harshaali added that what stayed with her most was not just the intensity of the scenes, but the sense of being looked after during difficult moments on set, calling the experience deeply fulfilling despite the hardships.

Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyuktha Menon and Aadhi Pinisetty. The film, released on December 12, 2025, is a sequel to Akhanda (2021) and received mixed critical response.
