Mirzapur The Movie Box Office Day 1: Rs 24.75 Crore Opening Enters 2026 Top 4

Mirzapur: The Movie, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Ravi Kishan, has made a strong start at the domestic box office. The film, which brings the popular web series to cinemas, collected an estimated Rs 24.75 crore nett in India on its opening day.

The film's Day 1 performance has placed it among the biggest Hindi film openings of 2026. With an estimated India nett collection of Rs 24.75 crore, Mirzapur: The Movie has secured the fourth-highest opening-day collection among Hindi films released this year.

The Hindi version contributed approximately Rs 24.60 crore nett to the opening-day total, while the Telugu version added around Rs 15 lakh. The film's estimated gross collection in India crossed Rs 29.70 crore on its first day.

The movie recorded an overall occupancy of 42.81 per cent across 11,135 shows on its opening day. The morning shows witnessed a comparatively slower response, with occupancy at around 25 per cent, before audience numbers increased as the day progressed.

Night shows recorded significantly stronger occupancy, reaching approximately 62 per cent. The film has received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification.

The opening-day collection has placed Mirzapur: The Movie ahead of Awarapan 2, which recorded an estimated Rs 22 crore nett opening at the Hindi box office.

However, the film remained below the opening-day collection of Border 2, which crossed the Rs 30 crore mark. Toxic and Dhurandhar The Revenge currently occupy the top two positions among the biggest Hindi openings of 2026, with opening-day collections of Rs 55 crore and Rs 99 crore respectively.

With its estimated Rs 24.75 crore nett collection on Day 1, Mirzapur: The Movie has entered the top four biggest Hindi opening-day grossers of 2026.

The film was released in theatres on September 4 and marks the transition of the Mirzapur franchise from streaming to the big screen.
