Elon Musk Denies Epstein Island Visit, Slams Media Over False Claims

Elon Musk has vehemently denied media reports suggesting he visited convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s private island in 2014, calling the narrative “false” and accusing outlets of misleading coverage.

In a series of tweets, Musk singled out Sky News for an “utterly misleading headline” and stated, “Anyone pushing this false narrative deserves complete contempt.” He further clarified that he had refused Epstein’s invitation to the private island, remarking, “Yet they name me even before Prince Andrew, who did visit.”

Musk also accused the Democratic Party and affiliated media of targeting him, claiming they see him as a “threat” because he exposes corruption, challenges narratives, and supports free speech through X.

This comes after the release of thousands of documents from Epstein’s estate, made public by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The documents, partially disclosed by Democratic members, include flight logs, financial records, phone messages, and daily schedules spanning nearly three decades.

Among the records is an itinerary suggesting a possible trip by Musk to Epstein’s Virgin Islands estate in December 2014. The files also reference prominent figures such as Peter Thiel and former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, highlighting Epstein’s extensive network over the years.

Democratic committee members stressed Epstein’s influence among powerful individuals, with files showing payments for “massages” linked to Prince Andrew and detailed flight logs involving Epstein and his aide Ghislaine Maxwell, who remains imprisoned for sex trafficking minors.

Sara Guerrero, spokesperson for the Oversight Committee, stated, “It should be clear to every American that Jeffrey Epstein was friends with some of the most powerful and wealthiest men in the world. Every new document produced provides new information as we work to bring justice for the survivors and victims.”

Republicans criticised the unilateral release, claiming the Democrats selectively disclosed documents and withheld some referencing Democratic officials. Many files remain heavily redacted to protect victims’ privacy, with further disclosures anticipated.

The controversy surrounding Musk’s alleged link to Epstein has intensified debates over media responsibility, political motives, and the ongoing scrutiny of Epstein’s connections to influential figures.
