Fan Re-Enacts Rishab Shetty’s Possessed Scene from Kantara: Chapter 1 in Bengaluru
On October 2, 2025, a passionate fan of Kantara: Chapter 1 recreated actor Rishab Shetty’s possessed act outside Anjan Theatre, Magadi Road, Bengaluru, drawing a crowd of excited onlookers.
Dressed in a traditional yellow kurta and dhoti, with a bearded look, the fan mimicked the Daiva possession sequence, rotating, shouting, and even lying on the floor as if possessed by the deity. Movie-goers captured the performance on their smartphones, sharing the electrifying moment on social media.
Directed by Rishab Shetty, Kantara: Chapter 1 delves into the origins of the Bhuta Kola ritual, expanding the franchise’s cultural universe while maintaining authentic regional roots. The film acts as both a sequel and prequel to Kantara (2022), showcasing Shetty in a commanding, trident-wielding avatar that has become a standout highlight.
The movie also features Jayaram, Rukmini Vasanth as Kanakavathi, and Gulshan Devaiah as Kulashekara, with production backed by Hombale Films.
