India U19 Crush Australia U19 by an Innings in Youth Test

India Under-19 began their Youth Test campaign with a dominating innings and 58-run victory over Australia Under-19 in Brisbane, showcasing stellar performances with both bat and ball.


Batting Brilliance

The win was powered by Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s explosive 113 off 86 balls, including eight sixes and nine fours, striking at over 130. Vedant Trivedi anchored the innings with a composed 140 from 192 deliveries, while skipper Ayush Mhatre (21), Khilan Patel (49), and Abhigyan Kundu (26) added crucial contributions.

India posted 428 runs in 81.3 overs, securing a commanding lead of 185 runs. For Australia, Hayden Schiller (3/88) and captain Will Malajczuk (3/70) were among the few positives.


Bowling Dominance

In Australia’s first innings, Deepesh Devendran ripped through the middle and lower order, finishing with 5/45, while Kishan Kumar claimed three wickets. Australia folded for 243 runs, giving India the upper hand.

Australia’s second innings collapsed under pressure, with only Aryan Sharma resisting briefly with 43 runs off 44 balls. Deepesh added 3 more wickets, supported by Khilan Patel (3/19) and Anmoljeet Singh (2/55), as Australia were bundled out for 127 runs.
