Mallikarjun Kharge Hospitalised in Bengaluru, Condition Stable

Congress President and Rajya Sabha Leader of the Opposition, Mallikarjun Kharge, has been admitted to a Bengaluru hospital after experiencing discomfort, sources confirmed on Tuesday. The hospitalisation is reported to be precautionary, given Kharge’s age of 83.

Reason for Hospitalisation

According to news agency PTI, Kharge was admitted to MS Ramaiah Hospital following a fever and leg pain. He is currently undergoing a full medical check-up, and doctors are closely monitoring his condition.

A senior Congress leader assured,

"He is fine, nothing to worry. Doctors are monitoring him."

No Critical Condition

Authorities have clarified that Kharge’s condition is not critical, and medical staff are keeping a close watch. A formal statement from his office and an official medical bulletin from the hospital are expected shortly.

Health History

This is not the first time Kharge has faced health concerns. A year ago, he experienced dizziness while addressing a rally in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir. Following the incident, the veteran politician had reassured supporters, saying:

"...I’m not going to die so soon. I will stay alive until we remove Modi. I will listen to you and fight for you."

Summary

Mallikarjun Kharge’s hospitalisation has raised concern among party members and supporters, but medical sources indicate it is a preventive measure. The 83-year-old leader continues to be active in politics, and party officials have urged the public not to panic.
