PM Modi Supports Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan, Hails Netanyahu’s Leadership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed support for the 20-point Gaza peace plan proposed by former US President Donald Trump, praising it as a constructive step toward peace. In a post on the social media platform X, Modi endorsed the Israel-Hamas truce deal, highlighting it as a “reflection of strong Netanyahu leadership.”

The truce is seen as a critical step in facilitating the release of hostages and ensuring urgent humanitarian aid reaches the civilian population in Gaza. The region has endured a fragile ceasefire environment, with the previous truce in January 2025 lasting only 42 days and a reported Palestinian death toll exceeding 66,000.

India has consistently advocated dialogue, diplomacy, and a two-nation solution as the pathway to lasting peace. Other world leaders, including UK Prime Minister Estama, have also emphasised the need for unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza amid ongoing tensions.

This move underscores India’s active engagement in global diplomacy and support for peaceful resolution of conflicts in the Middle East.
