Actor-director Rishab Shetty shared a heartfelt moment with his wife Pragathi Shetty during the premiere of Kantara: Chapter 1 at Orion Mall, Bengaluru, on October 1, 2025. Pragathi, a costume designer, was visibly emotional as she hugged Rishab from behind, moved by the audience’s enthusiastic response to the film. The touching moment quickly went viral on social media.
Dressed in a black saree, Pragathi embraced Rishab while he addressed the audience. The actor turned to console her, highlighting the personal significance of the premiere for both the couple and the film’s team.
During the event, Rishab Shetty expressed gratitude to the audience, stating, “Thank you so much for your love,” as cheers erupted in response.
Kantara: Chapter 1 serves as a prequel to the 2022 hit Kantara, exploring the origins of mythological traditions and ancestral conflicts during the Kadamba dynasty in Karnataka. The film features Rishab Shetty in a commanding role, with Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles. The production is noted for one of Indian cinema’s largest action sequences, involving over 500 fighters and 3,000 participants.
