UP Man Beaten to Death by In-Laws After Dispute
A man identified as Sonu was beaten to death on a roadside in Hapur district, allegedly after being poisoned and chased by his in-laws following a dispute with his wife. The horrifying incident was caught on CCTV, prompting police to launch a formal investigation.
Sources revealed that the dispute began in Imtori village when Sonu and his wife reportedly had a heated argument. The wife allegedly informed her family, after which four to five relatives reportedly attacked Sonu, forcing him to consume a poisonous substance.
Sonu fled the house but was pursued by the wife’s family, caught on a roadside, and brutally assaulted in broad daylight. Critically injured, he was rushed to a nearby hospital but died during treatment.
Police were alerted, and a forensic team collected evidence at the scene before sending Sonu’s body for post-mortem examination. While the victim’s family has accused the wife’s relatives of murder, authorities have stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed after post-mortem results.
The case has sparked outrage in the district, raising concerns about domestic violence and family disputes escalating into fatal attacks.
