Nitin Gadkari Says New Generation Should Take Over Amid Cabinet Reshuffle Buzz

Nitin Gadkari has said it is time for the new generation to take greater responsibility in public life, noting that he is no longer able to work as much as he once did.

Speaking at an event in Nagpur, the Union Minister said younger leaders should be given the opportunity to carry forward public responsibilities, while the older generation continues to guide them. Gadkari said he has spent around three decades in public life, witnessing several challenges and achievements along the way.

He also spoke about the development work planned for the coming years, saying efforts would continue to expand infrastructure and ensure that tribal villages in Maharashtra have access to electricity and development.

Gadkari's remarks come amid speculation about a possible expansion or reshuffle of the Union Cabinet. They also follow a major organisational restructuring within the BJP, which recently announced a new national team featuring 51 new faces among its 65 members.

The new organisational structure is being seen as a significant generational shift within the party. The leadership team includes 13 national vice presidents, while several senior and former leaders have also been assigned key responsibilities.

The BJP's organisational revamp has further fuelled speculation about whether a similar generational transition could be reflected in a future reshuffle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Union Cabinet.
