Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram Announce Pregnancy on Second Wedding Anniversary
Actors Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram have shared a special personal milestone with fans, announcing that they are expecting their first child. The couple revealed the news on their second wedding anniversary, adding an emotional highlight to their journey together since their traditional Meitei wedding in 2023.
On Saturday, the duo posted a serene photograph on Instagram, where they are seen seated by a bonfire in a forest setting, dressed in coordinated beige outfits. Their caption — “Two years of love, adventure, and now a little wild one on the way” — confirmed Lin’s pregnancy and celebrated their growing family.
Randeep and Lin first met during their time at Naseeruddin Shah’s renowned theatre group, Motley. Their friendship eventually evolved into a relationship, culminating in a culturally rich wedding ceremony in Imphal, Manipur. Randeep fully embraced Manipuri customs, while Lin looked elegant in traditional attire and jewellery. Their wedding was intimate, attended only by close friends and family.
Explaining their choice to marry in Manipur, Randeep had earlier said he wanted to respectfully honour Lin’s heritage and experience her traditions firsthand.
Lin Laishram, known for her roles in Om Shanti Om, Mary Kom, Umrika and Rangoon, continues to balance her acting career with entrepreneurial ventures.
Randeep, last seen as the antagonist in Jaat opposite Sunny Deol, will next appear in the 2026 Hollywood action-adventure comedy Matchbox, featuring John Cena, Jessica Biel, Danai Gurira and others, directed by Sam Hargrave.
The couple’s pregnancy announcement has been met with widespread love and warm wishes across the film industry and social media.
