The BCCI Naman Awards 2026 celebrated some of the biggest achievements in Indian cricket, honouring legendary players, international stars and domestic performers for their contributions during the 2024–25 season. The prestigious ceremony recognised excellence across formats and categories, highlighting both historic careers and outstanding performances over the past year.
Indian cricket stars Shubman Gill and Smriti Mandhana emerged as the biggest winners of the night after receiving the awards for Best International Cricketers in the men’s and women’s categories.
Shubman Gill was awarded the Polly Umrigar Award for Best International Cricketer (Men), marking the second time he has received this honour. The Indian captain delivered an exceptional season in international cricket, particularly in Test and One-Day formats.
During India’s tour of England, Gill produced remarkable performances in the five-Test series. He finished as the leading run-scorer with 754 runs in 10 innings at an impressive average of 75.40. His tally included four centuries and a highest score of 269.
Gill also played a key role in India’s ICC Champions Trophy victory, entering the tournament as the world’s No.1-ranked ODI batter. His unbeaten century against Bangladesh in the opening match and consistent performances helped India secure the title.
Smriti Mandhana received the Best International Cricketer (Women) award for the fifth time in her career, reinforcing her status as one of the world’s leading women cricketers.
Mandhana enjoyed an outstanding year in international cricket, scoring a total of 1,703 runs across formats. Her performance in One-Day Internationals was particularly remarkable, where she accumulated 1,362 runs during the year.
She became the first player in women’s ODI history to score 1,000 runs in a single calendar year. Her contribution was also crucial in India’s historic ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup triumph.
Mandhana scored 434 runs during the tournament, finishing as India’s top run-scorer and the second-highest overall in the competition.
Several iconic figures in Indian cricket were honoured with lifetime achievement awards for their long-standing contributions to the sport.
Roger Binny received the Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. Binny played a key role in India’s historic 1983 World Cup victory and later served as the president of the BCCI. During the 1983 tournament, he took 18 wickets, which was a record at the time.
Rahul Dravid was also honoured with the same lifetime achievement award. Known as one of the greatest batters in cricket history, Dravid scored 13,288 runs in Test cricket and 10,889 runs in One-Day Internationals. Beyond his playing career, he has also played a crucial role as a coach, guiding India’s Under-19 and senior teams to major successes.
Former India women’s captain Mithali Raj was honoured with the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for Women. Raj remains one of the most influential figures in women’s cricket, holding the record for the most runs in women’s ODIs with 7,805 runs. Her career spanned more than two decades and helped transform the landscape of women’s cricket in India.
The awards also highlighted outstanding performances in India’s domestic cricket circuit.
Shafali Verma was named Best Woman Cricketer in the Senior Domestic One-Day competition after delivering consistent performances during the season.
Ira Jadhav received the award for Best Woman Cricketer in Domestic Cricket following an impressive run in domestic tournaments.
