Love Mocktail 3 Release Date Advanced After Yash’s Toxic Postponement

The Kannada film Love Mocktail 3, directed by and starring Darling Krishna, will now release earlier than planned. The makers have advanced the film’s theatrical release to March 19, 2026, following the postponement of Yash’s much-anticipated film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.

The film was originally scheduled for release on April 10, but the change in Toxic’s release schedule opened up a prime festive window. The new date allows Love Mocktail 3 to benefit from the Ugadi and Ramzan holiday weekend, which is expected to boost cinema footfall.

Festival Weekend Creates Opportunity

Speaking about the decision, Darling Krishna explained that the timing of the festival weekend made the new release date highly attractive for the film.

According to him, March 19 coincides with Ugadi, a major festival in Karnataka and several other South Indian states. The holiday period also extends into Ramzan celebrations on March 21, creating a long weekend that could bring more audiences to theatres.

Krishna described the date as a fortunate opportunity for the film’s release, saying festival weekends often help family-oriented films attract strong turnout at cinemas.

Third Film in the Popular Love Mocktail Series

Love Mocktail 3 is the third instalment in the successful Love Mocktail franchise, which has developed a loyal fan base among Kannada audiences.

While the earlier films focused on romance and relationships, the upcoming sequel shifts its emotional focus toward the bond between a father and daughter. The story aims to explore family relationships and emotional connections while continuing the franchise’s signature storytelling style.

The film’s story was developed by Darling Krishna along with Milana Nagaraj, who also collaborated on the screenplay and dialogues.

Strong Ensemble Cast

The film features a wide ensemble cast including Samvrutha, Abhilash, Dileep Raj, Shwetha Prasad, Jagadish, Giri Raj, Rajani, and Neyaara in key roles.

Music for the film has been composed by Nakul Abhyankar, and the songs released so far have already begun gaining attention among fans of Kannada cinema.

The combination of emotional storytelling and music has been one of the defining elements of the Love Mocktail series, and the upcoming film aims to continue that tradition.

Earlier Plans for February Release

Darling Krishna also revealed that the film had actually been ready for release much earlier. The team initially planned to release the movie on February 23, but another Kannada film had already taken that date.

As a result, the makers moved the release to April 10. However, when Toxic shifted its release to June 4, the opportunity opened up for Love Mocktail 3 to move into the March slot.

The film will be distributed by KVN Productions, which is also associated with Toxic as a co-producer.

Confidence Despite Other Releases

Despite the presence of other upcoming films in the same period, including Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Darling Krishna expressed confidence about the film’s performance.

He stated that Love Mocktail 3 primarily targets Kannada audiences, and the film has already built a dedicated fan base through its earlier instalments.

Continuing the Franchise’s Emotional Storytelling

Darling Krishna previously directed and starred in Love Mocktail 2, which was well received by audiences for its emotional storytelling.

The third instalment aims to expand the franchise while maintaining the heartfelt tone that made the earlier films popular.

With a festive release window and a strong following among Kannada moviegoers, Love Mocktail 3 is expected to draw significant attention when it arrives in theatres on March 19, 2026.
