Students preparing for the CBSE Class 10, 12 datesheet 2027 are still waiting for the Central Board of Secondary Education to announce the subject-wise examination schedule. With October drawing to a close, the absence of even a tentative timetable has raised questions among students, parents and schools.
The delay has attracted attention because CBSE released the tentative datesheet for the previous examination cycle in September, followed by the final schedule in October. However, the board has not announced a confirmed release date for the 2027 timetable or explained the reason for the delay.
LOC Submission Deadline Reaches Its Final Stage
According to CBSE notifications, the List of Candidates (LOC) submission process for the 2026–27 academic session began on September 24, 2026.
Schools were required to submit candidate details by October 21 under the regular submission window. CBSE subsequently provided an extended period from October 22 to October 30, with a late fee of Rs 2,000 per candidate.
A correction window has also been scheduled from November 2 to November 4, 2026, for specified changes in candidate details.
With the extended LOC submission window ending on October 30, students are expecting the board to move towards announcing the tentative examination schedule. However, CBSE has not provided a specific timeline.
The board also conducted special examinations for Class 12 students in West Asian countries between October 23 and 28. Whether this examination cycle has any connection with the datesheet delay remains unclear, as CBSE has not issued any such clarification.
When Did CBSE Release the Datesheet Last Year?
The previous examination cycle provides some context for the current wait.
For the 2026 board examinations, CBSE released the tentative datesheet on September 24, 2025. The final timetable followed on October 30, 2025, giving students approximately 146 days before the examinations began.
For the 2025 board examinations, the datesheet was released on November 20, 2024.
These timelines indicate that the board has followed different release schedules in previous years. Therefore, the earlier announcement pattern does not necessarily establish a fixed deadline for the 2027 timetable.

Once released, the Class 10 and Class 12 examination timetable will be available on CBSE's official website, cbse.gov.in.
Until an official announcement is made, students are advised to continue preparing with the sample question papers and marking schemes released for the 2026–27 academic session.
