Actor Sreeleela joins Rajinikanth's Dharman, marking her first collaboration with the Tamil superstar. The announcement was made on Wednesday, November 4, by Kamal Haasan's production house, Raaj Kamal Films International, which welcomed the actor to the upcoming film directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.

The production banner shared a promotional video featuring Sreeleela and introduced her with the message: "She's got the spark. She's got the pataka. Welcoming the gorgeous Sreeleela to Dharman."

The film stars Rajinikanth in the lead role and also features Simran, Nayanthara, Yogi Babu and Raashii Khanna, among others. The project marks the first time Ashwath Marimuthu, known for Oh My Kadavule and Dragon, has directed Rajinikanth.

Rajinikanth to Play a Character With Grey Shades

According to the film's first-look poster, Rajinikanth plays a doctor in Dharman. The makers have described his character as a "Ketta Paiyan", meaning a bad guy.

The description has drawn attention because of its association with Rajinikanth's memorable performance in the 1978 film Mullum Malarum. Some promotional posters have also shown the actor with blood on his hands, suggesting that his character may have shades of grey.

The film completed its third production schedule in September and is reportedly approaching the final stage of principal photography. Sreeleela and Nayanthara are among the latest additions to the cast.

Sreeleela Expands Her Tamil Cinema Line-up

Sreeleela has been steadily expanding her presence in Tamil cinema. She made her Tamil debut with Parasakthi, sharing screen space with Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan and Atharvaa.

She has also lined up projects including Om, featuring Dhanush and Mammootty, in which she plays Roja, Dhanush's wife. Another upcoming project in her line-up is Ajith Kumar's Daredevil.

Her addition to Dharman brings her together with another major name in Tamil cinema and adds to the growing scale of her filmography.

Anirudh Ravichander to Compose Music

The film's technical team includes music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who continues his association with Rajinikanth after projects such as Petta, Darbar, Jailer, Vettaiyan, Coolie and Jailer 2.

The crew also includes cinematographer Niketh Bommi, stunt choreographers Anbariv, editor Pradeep E Ragav and production designer Karthik Rajkumar.

While the makers have not announced an official release date, reports suggest that Dharman is targeting a theatrical release in April 2027.
