Mohammed Siraj Hosts Shami, Akash Deep & Mukesh Kumar at Hyderabad Restaurant Ahead of SMAT Clash

India pacer Mohammed Siraj recently hosted teammates and fellow fast bowlers Mohammed Shami, Mukesh Kumar, Akash Deep, and several Bengal players for dinner at his Hyderabad restaurant. The Bengal squad is in the city ahead of their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) clash against Puducherry on December 6.

Photos from the gathering were shared by Mohammed Shami, who thanked Siraj for his warm hospitality. In his post, Shami wrote that Siraj’s gesture offered the players a chance to relax, share laughs, and strengthen camaraderie both on and off the field.

Siraj, who has played only one match in the ongoing SMAT season, delivered an economical spell of 1/15 in Hyderabad’s win against Uttar Pradesh. He has been rested from the ODI series against South Africa after the two-match Test series.

Shami, meanwhile, continues to lead the charge for Bengal in the domestic circuit. He recently delivered an impressive 4/13 against Services and has taken nine wickets in five matches at an average of 19.44. His last appearance for India came during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

In the points table, Bengal lead Elite Group C with four wins from five matches, while Hyderabad top Elite Group B with an identical record. Hyderabad will next face Bihar in Jadavpur.
