The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced several candidate-friendly changes for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026, scheduled to be held on June 21, 2026.
In an official public notice issued on June 12, the agency said the new measures aim to make the examination process more comfortable, efficient, and student-centric while maintaining fairness, transparency, and security.
The changes come after years of feedback from NEET aspirants and are expected to benefit lakhs of students appearing for India's largest medical entrance examination.

The NEET UG 2026 examination will now be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, providing candidates with an additional 15 minutes compared to previous arrangements.
