Baahubali The Epic Re-Release Arrives Early: Prabhas Announces New Premiere Date with Special Video

SS Rajamouli’s legendary cinematic universe is returning to the big screen — earlier than expected. ‘Baahubali: The Epic’, a newly re-edited version combining both parts of the iconic franchise into a single film, was initially set to hit theatres on October 31, 2025. However, fans now have a reason to celebrate as the makers have officially moved the international premiere date forward by two days.

In an exclusive announcement video shared on Sunday, Prabhas — who immortalised the character of Amarendra Baahubali — confirmed that audiences across the world will get to witness the epic on October 29. The actor, dressed in black, teased fans with a playful moment in the video. After declaring that the unified cut would release on October 31, he paused and humorously added, “I think,” before the video text revealed: “International Premieres on October 29.”

This re-release marks a landmark moment for Indian cinema. ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ is the first-ever remastered, combined theatrical release of a two-part film franchise on such a massive scale. The film brings together the gripping arcs, grand visuals, and monumental storytelling of ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ into one continuous narrative experience.

Advance bookings appear to reflect the franchise’s timeless impact. According to early figures, ticket sales have already surpassed nearly ₹5 crore worldwide, and trade analysts expect a sharp rise as anticipation builds over the coming days. With fan excitement surging, industry experts believe the re-release could redefine box office trends for archival cinema in India.

‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ created history in 2017 by becoming the first Indian film to cross the ₹1,000 crore mark globally. The franchise not only set new commercial benchmarks but also took Indian storytelling and visual craftsmanship to the global forefront. The re-release has triggered a wave of nostalgia among fans eager to relive the triumphs of Baahubali, the villainy of Bhallaladeva, and the iconic declaration — “Amarendra Baahubali ke jay!”

Directed by SS Rajamouli and written by the celebrated screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad, the epic stars Prabhas alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Tamannaah, and Nasser — all returning to the theatres through this monumental merged edition.

As cinemas prepare for fans to revisit Mahishmati’s grandeur, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ is poised to create new records for a re-release and remind audiences why this saga continues to reign as one of India’s greatest cinematic achievements.
