Three Women Killed in UP Morning Walk Accident; Driver Flees

In a tragic incident in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, three women were killed, and a man seriously injured when a speeding car rammed into four people during their morning walk. The accident occurred around 6 am near Rakesh Marg cut on GT Road.

The victims have been identified as Meenu Prajapati (56), Kamlesh (55), Savitri Devi (60), and Vipin Sharma (47). While Meenu and Savitri were declared dead on arrival at the hospital, Kamlesh succumbed during treatment. Vipin Sharma remains hospitalized with serious injuries.

The driver fled the scene, abandoning the car, which police have since impounded. Authorities have registered a case and are actively working to identify and apprehend the accused.

The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigations are ongoing, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police Dhawal Jaiswal.

The incident has raised concerns over road safety, particularly for pedestrians in the early morning hours. Police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any leads that may help track the hit-and-run driver.
