In his latest edition of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for a century of dedicated service to India. Marking the 100th anniversary of the RSS, Modi commemorated its founders, Dr. KB Hedgewar and Guru Golwalkar, emphasizing the organization’s enduring commitment to discipline, selfless service, and nation-building. He acknowledged the RSS’s role in fostering a spirit of national unity and social welfare across India over the last century.

The Prime Minister also called on citizens to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti by promoting Khadi, highlighting its role in the Swadeshi movement. Modi noted that Khadi sales have been consistently rising for the past 11 years, reflecting growing public participation in supporting indigenous industries. By encouraging the public to buy Khadi, Modi reiterated the importance of continuing Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of self-reliance and sustainability.

Modi also spoke about India’s rich cultural heritage, emphasizing government efforts to secure UNESCO recognition for Chhath Puja. He highlighted that festivals like Kolkata’s Durga Puja have already earned a place on UNESCO’s intangible heritage list. By promoting such initiatives, the Prime Minister reinforced the need to preserve and celebrate India’s unique festivals and traditions on a global platform.

During the broadcast, Modi interacted with Lieutenant Commanders Dilna and Roopa, who recently participated in the Navika Sagar Parikrama, underlining the contributions of India’s maritime explorers and defense personnel. In addition, he paid heartfelt tributes to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar, marking their birth anniversaries and recognizing their lasting influence on India’s independence and cultural legacy.

Through his 125th Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi blended reflections on India’s freedom struggle, cultural richness, and national pride, while urging citizens to support indigenous products, Khadi, and traditional festivals. The broadcast underscored the importance of unity, service, and cultural preservation in contemporary India, resonating with millions of listeners nationwide.
