Actor Prakash Raj has strongly criticised the police action against students protesting alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) recruitment examinations. According to reports, police used tear gas shells, water cannons and multiple rounds of lathi charge after thousands of aspirants attempted to march towards the Jharkhand Assembly during the Monsoon Session.

The protest was organised by the JPSC-JSSC Reform Manch, which has been demanding:
